AAI and SITA Collaborate to Bring Cloud-Based Solutions to Indian Airports

In collaboration with SITA, a worldwide provider of IT services for the airline industry, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has commenced the deployment of cloud-based technologies in 43 airports throughout India. The primary objective of this endeavour is to augment more than 2,700 passenger touchpoints, thereby providing contemporary travellers with inventive resolutions. Over the course of the subsequent seven years, it is anticipated that an additional 40 airports will be equipped with these technologies, thereby benefiting an estimated 500 million passengers.

President of SITA Asia Pacific Sumesh Patel highlighted the advantages of adopting cloud solutions, including the capacity to scale in response to rising passenger volumes. By prioritising the cloud, organisations can bolster security measures, facilitate the integration of cutting-edge technologies, and decrease expenditures on on-premise infrastructure. Centralised cloud hosting provides airlines with centralised management, proactive monitoring, and effective service administration.
