India is commencing a network of helipad developments along major highways in an effort to improve emergency medical services. This nationwide endeavour is anticipated to commence in Uttarakhand and encompass around 600 landing sites designated for eVTOLs, helicopters, and drones. The pilot initiative in Uttarakhand will be provided with Airbus H125 EMS aircraft by Pinnacle Air, which will facilitate prompt reactions within a 150-kilometre extent. The government intends to expedite approvals for the construction of helipads along national highways and enhance the evacuation of victims of motor vehicle accidents. It is anticipated that this initiative will increase the number of helicopter operators and helicopter deployments in India over the course of the following decade.
