Furthermore, in September 2023, the Kuwaiti government granted Limak, a Turkish construction company, a contract worth $764.87 million to lead the development of Terminal 2 (T2) at KWI. With an estimated annual expenditure of $4.34 billion, T2 intends to increase the capacity of the airport to accommodate 25–50 million passengers. Jazeera Terminal 5 at KWI, the preeminent low-cost carrier in Kuwait, underwent a significant upgrade to improve operational efficiency and passenger satisfaction, reflecting a substantial investment.
