Air Tech Italy receives tremendous response at Dubai Airport Show

Overwhelming to see ME countries using the current period to get ready to meet the demand as situation improves, says ATI official

DUBAI, 26 May 2021: Air Tech Italy (ATI), the leading Trade Association representing Italian companies specialised in supplying products, technologies and services for airports and air-traffic control, participating in the Airport Show, Dubai, has received tremendous response from the region.

Rocco Marcuccio, Managing Advisor, Air Tech Italy, said the participating companies were overwhelmed by the response received from regional aviation players during the first two days of the show, which reflects the region’s eagerness to improve the situation.

“We had more than 200 meetings with representatives of various organisations from the UAE, other GCC countries as well as from the Middle East region. It was quite encouraging to see people’s zeal to return to normalcy as soon as possible and use the current period to get ready to meet the demand as the situation improves,” he said.

He noted that the Middle East region has several important airports. While some of them have been improving facilities continuously, many others have ambitious expansion plans, while new airports are also expected to come up in the region.

Marcuccio said, “It is quite interesting time for the aviation sector. The global situation is improving slowly but Middle Eastern countries are showing eagerness to get ready for the future. We are following the UAE airports' expansion plans and their requirements. Similarly, we are also hopeful of playing an important role in Saudi Arabia, which has very ambitious plans,” he said.

The Air Tech Italy (ATI) is the first hub for international clients looking for top-quality Italian companies providing integrated solutions to overseas civil aviation organisations and airport operators, leveraging on Italian high competences and skills.

He said that many companies of this group are at the forefront of technologies with very innovative products, especially in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital towers and new systems of air traffic control.

“We want to create synergy with the local players,” he added.
