Airport Carbon Accreditation annual report highlights COVID and carbon effects globally
The Airport Carbon Accreditation Annual Report covering the period between May 2019 to May 2021 has been released by ACI (Airports Council International). Following the disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual reports highlighting the triumphs and developments in Airport Carbon Accreditation, the global carbon standard for airports, have resumed. In Years 11 (May 2019 to May 2020) and 12 (May 2020 to May 2021) of the programs, which have been consolidated into one reporting to accommodate the pandemic context, the report shows good participation increase across all geographical regions. The report also came through under significant development in the EU region. Since its inception in 2009, the partnering airports have become industry champions in climate action.
