Emerging aviation technology in the Middle East

As the travel process adapts and shifts in response to the pandemic, more aviation technologies in the Middle East are being assimilated to ease air travel challenges. Artificial intelligence, data analytics, and machine learning are fundamental in managing and analyzing passenger data. The emergence of biometric-based technology has aided the growth of airlines in countries like Bahrain as face and iris recognition are utilized in check in areas to reduce waiting time and long passenger queues. These technologies, through still limited, are being used to bolster other aviation areas like border control management, risk reduction, and data protection.
