KIX paves the road for a sustainable future through hydrogen fuel cell bus service

With a goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gases by 2050, Kansai Airports Group has been adopting a variety of steps to lessen detrimental environmental effects, including the use of renewable energy and hydrogen. By introducing fuel cell buses, Kansai Airports and Nankai Bus promotes the capacity of airlines to shift to more sustainable energy sources for air travel. Fuel cell buses use energy created by a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen in the air to power its motor. Upon usage, it does not release CO2 to the environment.
